Laptop hard drives are also one of the more common parts to fail in a laptop due to the moving parts and the fact laptops get bumped and moved often.

Getting the laptop hard drive replaced is a fairly simple process and if the part is in stock or provided by you the service can be same or next day. When replacing a laptop hard drive the operating system (Windows) and software must be reinstalled onto the new drive. Please see our system restore service or call for additional information.






Service Details:

The price listed covers all labor associated with replacing your laptop hard drive. This includes locating and ordering the replacement along with removal and installation work. During the repair process cleaning is performed to all accessed areas of the laptop to remove dirt and spill residue found along with a visual inspection of the internal components. After hard drive replacement we finish up with a quick quality assurance test and then notify you of the completed repair.

Additional Notes: For drop-off laptop hard drive replacement we need the laptop and power adapter. Prepaying for drop-off service is an option, not a requirement. We also accept walk-ins and payment after all work is complete. The hard drive is not included in this service and must be provided by you or ordered from us. Windows and all other programs will need to be reinstalled after the laptop hard drive has been replaced. HOW CAN I TELL IF MY HARD DRIVE IS GOING OUT? Signs of a failing laptop hard drive can be strange clicking noise coming from inside the laptop, loud whining noise, S.M.A.R.T technology warnings about hard drive failure or Windows running check disk repeatedly upon startup. Other signs and symptoms can occur when a hard drive is starting to fail, please schedule a free diagnostic to have testing performed.

HOW LONG WILL THE REPAIR TAKE? Used laptop hard drives can be replaced same or next day if we have the part is in stock. New hard drives must be ordered and can take 5-10 days due to shipping and handling times on the part.

CAN I PREPAY FOR THE PART AND YOU NOTIFY ME WHEN IT ARRIVES TO BRING THE LAPTOP IN? Yes we can.

HOW MUCH WILL THE LAPTOP HARD DRIVE COST? Hard drive prices are based on the size of the drive you have installed. Smaller drives (20-80GB) cost about $30-$40 with shipping. Bigger drives (250GB-500GB) will cost $60-$90.

- Used hard drives provided by us come with a 30-day warranty. New hard drives are covered under a 1-year warranty via the manufacturer.
- We currently accept all major credit cards, debit cards as well as PayPal and cash.
- Sorry no checks or money orders of any kind.
- Payments are due at time of pickup.
