Laptop Motherboard Service:

The laptops GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is the chip on the motherboard responsible for rendering video on your display. On some models of laptops this GPU is known to have problems caused by the solder under the chip becoming weak and loosing connection with the motherboard. When this happens the laptop can still power up and you might even hear the startup sounds however you will get no video.

In order to repair this problem the laptop must be disassembled, the cooling system reconditioned and the GPU solder repaired. This process is a lengthy one but after repairs the laptop will again display video.






Service Details:

During repair we remove all the old factory thermal paste and pads and replace them with superior upgrades. All dust and derbies are removed to ensure proper ventilation along with a full visual inspection to the internal components. After that the laptop motherboard is loaded into a computer controlled machine to start the process of repairing the failed chip. Once all work is complete we assemble the laptop and start a 12-14 hour testing process to ensure a proper functionality and finally notify you of a completed repair.

Additional Notes: For drop-off laptop GPU repair we need the laptop and power adapter. Prepaying for drop-off service is an option, not a requirement. We also accept walk-ins and payment after all work is complete. Repair time is 3-5 days.

HOW CAN I TELL IF MY GPU IS GOING OUT? Many problems can cause no video on a laptop and only specific models are known to be affected by this GPU problem. If you are experiencing no video problems it is best to arrange for us to do a free diagnostic first.

HOW LONG WILL THE REPAIR TAKE? 2-4 days.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS OR FEES? This is a flat rate repair and the price covers all time and materials used for repair.

- We warranty our GPU repair service for 90-days.
- We currently accept all major credit cards, debit cards as well as PayPal and cash.
- Sorry no checks or money orders of any kind.
- Payments are due at time of pickup.
- Prepayment is allowed and receipts given.
