Understanding CD, DVD & Game Disc Repair:
In order to understand our disc repair service you must first understand the basics on how a CD, DVD or Game disc works when you load it into a device such as your DVD player, car stereo or game console. Once the disc has been loaded into the system a laser emits a small laser light beam up at the disc. When the light reaches the disc it travels through the clear plastic of the CD, DVD or game disc to the reflective material which contains the actual data for your device at which point the laser beam bounces back and with it the light pattern (data) required to play that favorite song, watch a movie or play a game.
When you scratch the bottom of the disc you cause the light to be distorted and instead of reflecting back to the laser it goes any place but to it. When this happens you hear a skip in the song or movie and for game systems it can cause the unit to lock up requiring you to restart. As soon as the scratched area passes the laser light you again pick up normal play. This processes repeats over and over as the CD/DVD or game disc spins.
Service Details:
After payment we will repair one disc by resurfacing the scratched plastic (non-data) layer via our commercial grade repair machine. After removal of all scratches we apply 3 special gel sealing agents that allow for a near flawless finish with durable lasting results. The final result is a scratch free disc that the laser beam can again pass through without distortion. Due to the cost of our solutions and maintenance of the machine we give NO WARRANTY of results and NO REFUND however we have serviced 100’s of discs with a 90% success rate, much repeat business and referrals.

FAQ’S:
HOW CAN I TELL IF THIS WILL WORK FOR MY DISCS?: Discs with scratches to the plastic side (side the laser reads from) are normally repairable as long as the reflective material on the label side (side with disc name or likewise) is still intact. An easy way to see if you are missing the reflective material is to hold your disc up to a light source. Viewing the plastic side of the disc you should not be able to see any light passing through. If you are able to see light we will still be able to partially repair the disc however any data in the areas where light is seen is forever lost.
Other discs we will not be able to repair include discs in pieces, burned discs, chipped discs, discs with cracks or discs with holes from one side to the other. You are always welcome to call or email with questions.
